Current Conductor – David Chambers
David began conducting at Bretton Hall College and continued his studies at various conducting summer schools, most notably at Canford, under the renowned conductor George Hurst.
In the 1980’s David began conducting musicals with the Northampton Footlights and Irchester Players and concerts with the Northampton Operatic Group.
In 1995 he was appointed Musical Director of the Northampton Gilbert and Sullivan Group and in 2006 Conductor of the Northampton Concert Orchestra.
David is also an oboist and has played for the Northampton Symphony Orchestra, Milton Keynes Sinfonia and various theatre groups in the county.
